We often encounter situations where there are no available external walls, restrictions in place concerning coring through brickwork, or overcrowding, when R7 units either cannot be installed or additional moisture reduction solutions are necessary.
When this is the case we recommend our BBA approved PIV- Positive Input Ventilation system.
A PIV can be loft mounted or for flats with no loft space available, can be wall mounted in a central location.
The unit draws in fresh air, filters it and gently feeds it into the dwelling via a ceiling mounted diffuser for loft mounted units or through the side aperture for flat PIVs. The clean, fresh filtered air with a lower moisture content dilutes, displaces and replaces, contaminated and moisture laden air. This in turn pushes the moist stale air in the home out through window vents or natural leakage points such as keyholes.
The system provides fresh, tempered air into the home and creates an indoor environment where the damaging effects of condensation struggle to exist, benefiting both the occupants and the structure of the building.
To ensure the long-term efficiency, we offer annual servicing with plans with all of the systems we install, and our warranty means that should you have any issues, we will get a technician out to repair or replace your unit.
